SayakaCleaner for Mac

See it first.
Then let it go.

A careful storage cleaner for your Mac. It finds caches, installers and developer leftovers, shows you every item, and moves only what you choose to the Trash.

I · Scan

Light finds what's hidden.

One Scan looks through Downloads, app and developer caches, Xcode build data, your project folders and AI coding tools. Scanning only looks; nothing changes.

II · Let go

Nothing moves until you say so.

Nothing is pre-selected. You choose, you confirm, and only then does anything move: to the Trash, where it can be put back until you empty it.

III · Renewal

Empty the Trash, and watch the space come back.

Items in the Trash still use space. When you're sure, Empty Trash asks for its own confirmation, Finder does the work, and SayakaCleaner shows what it measured.

Careful by design.

  1. 01

    Review first

Every item is listed with its size and why it was found. Sizes are space on disk; unknown sizes say unknown, never zero.

  2. 02

    Nothing pre-selected

You choose what goes. Items that are unsafe to move are left out, with the reason.

  3. 03

    Moved to the Trash

Each item is checked again just before it moves. Everything can be put back until you empty the Trash.

  4. 04

    Permanent means confirmed

Erasing simulators and emptying the Trash can't be undone, so each needs its own confirmation, with a checkbox you tick yourself.

The real thing, on your Mac.

Three places to start — Clean, Apps and Space. Each screen has one job and one button.

SayakaCleaner Apps screen: installed apps as tiles, largest on disk first, with a search field.
SayakaCleaner Clean results: the amount ready to move to the Trash, and cards for Caches and Installers with how many items are selected.
SayakaCleaner Space screen: the home folder drawn to scale as a map of boxes, Library largest.

Screenshots of SayakaCleaner on macOS. In the Clean example, the items were chosen by the user; nothing is selected after a scan.

Everything it does, quietly.

Clean

One Scan looks through the places where space quietly piles up: installers in Downloads and folders you add, app and developer caches, Xcode build data per project, rebuildable build output in your projects, and the logs and caches of AI coding tools (Claude, Codex, Copilot).

Apps

Your apps, largest on disk first. Search, filter by location, and move one to the Trash, choosing whether its listed settings and caches go with it. Apps owned by the system ask for your password through Finder.

Space

Choose a folder and see it drawn to scale. Bigger box, more space. Open folders to dig in, or switch to a sorted list. Read-only: nothing is moved.

Developer

Review Xcode simulators and runtimes with their sizes and last use. Suggestions for unavailable simulators and older duplicates, nothing selected for you. Git worktrees, read-only.

History & Empty Trash

A day-by-day record of what SayakaCleaner moved and what happened to each item. Open recorded items in the Trash, and when you're sure, empty it: Finder does the work and the app reports what it observed.

Settings

Light, dark or system, higher contrast and larger text. A read-on-request snapshot of this Mac, never monitored in the background. Keyboard friendly, with a ⌘K command menu.

Simple, and yours.

Questions.

Does SayakaCleaner delete my files?

Clean and Apps move the items you confirm to the macOS Trash. Nothing is permanently deleted until you empty the Trash, so you can put anything back until then. Two actions are permanent and say so clearly: erasing or deleting Xcode simulators and runtimes, and Empty Trash. Both need a separate confirmation.

Is anything selected for me?

No. Results start with nothing selected. Suggestions are labelled, and you choose what to include.

Why doesn't my free space go up right after cleaning?

Items in the Trash still use space. The space comes back when you empty the Trash.

Does it need Full Disk Access?

No, but some protected folders can't be read without it. SayakaCleaner tells you which places weren't fully checked instead of guessing.

Does it send my data anywhere?

No. There is no analytics, advertising or tracking. Scan results and history stay on your Mac. The only network request is an update check, described in the Privacy Policy.

How much does it cost?

Version 1.0 will be free to download, with every feature available. A one-time purchase of US$8.99 is coming; it isn't available yet, and nothing is charged today.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 12 Monterey or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
